1 dead, 4 injured in multi-vehicle crash on State Route 57 in Elyria

ELYRIA, Ohio — The Ohio State Freeway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a number of autos that occurred early Monday morning in Elyria.

At 5:12 a.m. on Monday morning, troopers responded to a name of a two-vehicle crash on State Route 57 close to the interchange of Interstate 90.

The crash concerned a freightliner and a Toyota Camry.

The Camry was driving northbound on SR 57 and the freightliner was touring eastbound on I-90, exiting to SR 57. The Camry did not cease at a crimson site visitors gentle when it struck the freightliner because it tried to show from I-90 onto SR 57.

The motive force of the Camry, Ashley L. Brown, age 37, was pronounced lifeless on the scene of the crash.

There have been 4 different passengers within the Camry. Shane Johnell Blunt, age 31 of Cleveland, was transported to MetroHealth by Metro Life Flight with life-threatening accidents.

The remaining 3 passengers, Ya Niese Campbell Chavis, age 24, Daricka Antanyiah Danai Coats, age 18, and Namon Rondell Oliver Jr, age 25, had been all transported to Elyria College Hospitals with critical accidents.

The freightliner driver, 48-year-old Daniel M. Frabotta of Elyria, was not injured within the incident. Frabotta was carrying his seatbelt on the time of the crash.
