Whitney Young High School principal Joyce Kenner retires after 27 years
CHICAGO (WLS) — Dr. Joyce Kenner was dropped at tears at a pep rally held in her honor Thursday, as she prepares to retire after 27 years as Whitney Younger Excessive Faculty’s principal.
It is estimated that in her time at Whitney Younger, Dr. Kenner graduated near 14,000 seniors.
On the pep rally she danced and celebrated together with her present college students, visibly emotional as they paid tribute to her. She additionally shared a message of hope and onerous work with them, and her imaginative and prescient of their vivid futures, telling them she believes they may “change our nation.”
Dr. Kenner mentioned now she’s going to write down a ebook. She additionally plans to spend extra time together with her grandchildren, together with a brand new grandson.
