Steppenwolf Theatre play ‘King James’ tells story of male bonding fueled by LeBron James

CHICAGO (WLS) — The world premiere of “King James” at Steppenwolf is getting rave critiques, and you do not have to be a sports activities fan to take pleasure in this story of male bonding, fueled by LeBron James.

“King James” is a recreation of friendship between Shawn and Matt, as they converse the language of LeBron.

Chris Perfetti of ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” stars as Matt within the present and has fulfilled a dream of being at Steppenwolf.

“Sports activities is sort of this car to speak about deeper issues happening within the human situation and on this nation,” he stated. “Guys once they’re speaking about sports activities are literally speaking about one thing else.”
