Pheasant Run Resort fire contained, firefighters continue battling Saint Charles blaze: authorities

CHICAGO (WLS) — A serious fireplace broke out on the former Pheasant Run Resort in Saint Charles within the western suburbs Saturday evening.

The resort has been closed since 2020 and there aren’t any stories of accidents. Firefighters have continued to battle the blaze on Sunday after closing down a part of Most important Avenue outdoors the resort on Saturday evening.

The St. Charles Hearth Division responded to 4051 East Most important Avenue for the reported fireplace on Saturday afternoon. The incident was elevated to a primary stage field alarm after fireplace models noticed heavy smoke seen. After the primary fireplace engine arrived at and located severe fireplace situations coming from a number of areas, the incident elevated to a second after which a 3rd field alarm stage.

The firefighters labored to cutoff the unfold of the fires in each path, mentioned Hearth Chief Scott Swanson. They used massive handlines, transportable displays and elevated grasp streams.
