North Chicago man killed in Wadsworth car crash, Lake County Sheriff’s Office says

WADSWORTH, Sick. (WLS) — A suburban Chicago man was killed in a Wadsworth visitors crash early Sunday, the Lake County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.

Sheriff’s deputies had been dispatched to the 16000 block of West Illinois Route 173 in Wadsworth for a single-vehicle visitors crash at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s deputies discovered a pink 2002 Chevrolet Blazer on its facet off the roadway. The car’s driver and sole occupant, a 45-year-old man from North Chicago, was unresponsive. Paramedics from the Newport Township Hearth Safety District decided he had died.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Group responded to the scene and the preliminary investigation confirmed the Chevrolet Blazer was touring eastbound on West Illinois Route 173, approaching North Mill Creek Street. For an unknown cause, the Chevrolet Blazer entered the westbound lanes of visitors and went into the embankment on the north facet of the roadway. The Chevrolet Blazer struck a utility pole and bushes earlier than coming to a cease on its facet.

Crash investigators and the Lake County Coroner’s Workplace are working to find out if impairment was an element on this crash. The identification of the deceased driver is being withheld pending notification to his household. The investigation will proceed by way of the Sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Group.
