New $30M affordable senior housing building opens on South Side

CHICAGO (WLS) — A brand new $30 million residential complicated for seniors is now open on the South Aspect.

The “Montclare JoAnn Thompson” is known as after the late longtime alderman for the Englewood neighborhood.

Lawmakers, together with Mayor Lori Lightfoot, celebrated the grand opening with a ceremonial ribbon slicing Wednesday.
