Man caught running on Midway tarmac hopped fence, climbed on wing of private jet: CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) — A person is in custody after he was noticed operating across the tarmac and climbing on the wing of a aircraft at Chicago’s Halfway Airport Tuesday afternoon.

Chicago police mentioned the 33-year-old man was apprehended on Halfway property close to runway 31 round 4:45 p.m.

Police mentioned he hopped a barbed wire fence close to fifty fifth Avenue and Lorel Avenue, the place his jacket and shirt grew to become twisted up within the fence.

Investigators mentioned he was seen strolling on the runway, then later took off his garments and climbed onto a wing of a non-public jet.

Witnesses mentioned he seemed to be intoxicated. Police mentioned he was transported to MacNeal Hospital for minor accidents and an analysis.
