Lisle teacher chosen as NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassador

LISLE, In poor health. (WLS) — A trainer in Lisle has been chosen as one in all 24 NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors.

Tanya Anderson works teaches sixth, seventh and eighth grade science at St. Joan of Arc Faculty.

Lecturers in this system obtain coaching in astrophysics and planetary science.

Anderson hopes this program will encourage her college students.

“I feel this can be a nice alternative to indicate them how real-life science works, they’re all the time asking ‘why do I have to know this,’” mentioned Anderson. “It is a nice strategy to present them that folks really do use this in actual life.”

Lecturers undergo a number of coaching classes. Additionally they get to spend every week doing an immersion expertise at a NASA astronomy analysis facility.
