Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans kicks off Columbus Day celebrations with flag raising
CHICAGO (WLS) — The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Individuals kicked off its Columbus Day celebrations with a flag elevating Friday.
The ceremony was held in Daley Plaza and attended by a delegation from Italy together with some Chicago aldermen.
Columbus Day is Monday. The day will start with a mass on the Shrine of Our Girl of Pompeii after which a wreath laying ceremony in Arrigo Park.
The seventieth annual Columbus Day Parade kicks off on the nook of State Road and Wacker Drive within the Loop at 1 p.m. You’ll be able to watch it dwell proper right here on ABC7.
