Human remains found on roadway near Mount Vernon in southern Illinois, ISP says

MOUNT VERNON, Ailing. — Illinois State Police are investigating human stays found in southern Illinois.

The stays have been discovered close to Mount Vernon, the Southern Illinoisan reported.

Round 9 p.m. Monday, police acquired a name and the stays on a roadway lower than a mile (1.6 kilometers) west of Interstates 57 and 64, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned.

The stays haven’t but been recognized and look like considerably decomposed, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.

Due to inclement climate, state police are nonetheless investigating the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Workplace is also investigating.

Mount Vernon is 76 miles (122 kilometers) west of St. Louis, Missouri.
