Good Samaritan recognized for helping CPD officer struggling to arrest man
CHICAGO (WLS) — An excellent Samaritan was acknowledged Thursday by the Chicago Police Memorial Basis for risking his personal security to return to the help of a CPD officer.
Police shared a video of the incident in Avondale again in December.
Within the video, you the officer struggling on the bottom with a person he was attempting to arrest. Moments later, the great Samaritan, Brian Schillo, rushes in to assist get the suspect in handcuffs.
That suspect allegedly bit each Schillo and the officer earlier than backup arrived and he was taken into custody.
A number of prices in opposition to him had been later authorised, together with battery and assault.
