Fenwick High School evacuated after reported bomb threat; Oak Park police give ‘all clear’

OAK PARK, Ailing. (WLS) — Oak Park police have given the “all clear” after a bomb menace was made at Fenwick Excessive College in Oak Park.

Oak Park police stated they have been contacted a few name to the varsity reporting a bomb round 10:20 a.m. Monday.

In a press release on the Fenwick Excessive College web site, Principal Peter Groom stated the varsity constructing has been evacuated till a “thorough investigation” can happen.

“All college students, college and employees are at present secure and away from the constructing, and there’s no fast menace to their wellbeing,” Groom wrote.

As Oak Park police searched the premises with bomb-detecting canines, Groom stated college students congregated at Ascension Church.

After the search was accomplished, Groom stated college students have been allowed to return to class.
