Chicago police shooting: Man charged after CPD says he walked into 10th District station with gun
CHICAGO (WLS) — A person has been charged after Chicago police stated he walked right into a West Aspect station with a gun.
Terrick Bland, 43, of Maywood has been charged with 5 counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer and one depend of aggravated assault/use of a lethal weapon, police stated Friday.

He was arrested Wednesday after police say he walked into the tenth District police station in North Lawndale and pointed a gun at officers.

Final Wedneday, Supreintendent David Brown stated the person was “mumbling and ranting” when he walked into the station foyer and one officer seen he was holding a gun wrapped in a plastic bag with the barrel poking out.

“The offender shouts and rants anti-police sentiment after which begins pointing the gun on the officers which might be working the entrance desk,” Brown stated.
Police shot Bland within the arm and he was taken to a hospital for remedy earlier than his arrest.

No officers have been injured within the incident, Brown stated.
