Chicago police searching for suspect after car stolen with girl, 3, inside in South Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police are looking for the thief who stole a automobile with a 3-year-old woman inside within the South Loop Wednesday evening.

Police stated a 26-year-old lady received out of her Chevy Equinox for a short second about 8:30 p.m. within the 1200-block of South Clinton Avenue whereas leaving her 3-year-old daughter within the automobile. In that transient time, the suspect jumped into the automobile within the busy space and drove off.

The thief dropped the kid off within the 500-block of West Jackson Boulevard the place a safety officer discovered her and known as police.

The woman had been wandering in an alley close to Union Station, Chicago police stated.

Shortly after, the automobile was discovered empty within the 4400-block of South Shields Avenue in Canaryville, police stated. CPD had been in a position to monitor the automobile, which was left operating, on native streets and the expressway.
