Chicago police release photo of suspect in South Loop robbery on Harrison Red Line platform

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police have launched a surveillance photograph of a person needed for punching and robbing a passenger on the Crimson Line within the South Loop final week.

CPD stated the sufferer was attacked on the platform on the Harrison station within the 600-block of South State Avenue Thursday night time.

The suspect approached the passenger simply after 6:05 p.m. and tried to take his cellphone from his hand, Chicago police stated.

The suspect then punched the passenger twice within the face, in accordance with CPD.

The suspect is described as 20 to 25 years outdated; 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall; having lengthy hair and facial hair; and carrying a darkish jacket, blue denims and black sneakers, Chicago police stated.

On Friday, the CTA introduced it’s including 24-hour safety patrols on the Crimson and Blue Line trains and platforms due to current violent incidents.
