Chicago police officer, Army veteran quits CPD to go help Ukraine fight Russia

CHICAGO (WLS) — A former Chicago Police officer is in Ukraine, serving to battle the Russians.

Harrison Jozefowicz, 25, is an Military veteran who give up his job with the Chicago Police Division and headed abroad.

He talked to ABC’s Martha Raddatz, who’s overlaying the warfare in Ukraine.

Raddatz: “However are you going to be within the battle?”

Harrison: “Uh, me personally, yeah, if it is wanted. I will be within the battle.”

Raddatz: “You simply give up your job and received on a aircraft?”

Harrison: “Just about.”

Raddatz: “Why?”

Harrison: “That is the best factor to do. That is already…has extra refugees than Afghanistan. And we will not sit idly and watch it occur. I can say that Putin would not know what’s coming.”

Raddatz: “A more durable battle?”

Harrison: “A really a lot more durable battle. We’ll see an exponential improve in numbers. Very, very shortly right here….They are going to be the hardcore, battle skilled People, Brits and all people else in between.”

Jozefowicz mentioned he plans to remain in Ukraine so long as he can assist his spouse again right here at dwelling.

The State Division is warning People to not journey to Ukraine to battle and President Biden mentioned no U.S. troops can be becoming a member of the warfare.
