Chicago City Council reverses vote, backs Chicago Fire FC facility on housing authority land
CHICAGO (WLS) — The Chicago Metropolis Council reversed an earlier vote and voted to approve a proposal to construct a coaching facility for a soccer staff on land owned by the housing authority regardless of objections.
The $80 million, 24-acre facility for the Chicago Hearth FC could be on the positioning of the previous ABLA houses on the Close to-West Aspect.
Supporters say the venture will profit the neighborhood whereas critics of the venture say it takes land desperately wanted for reasonably priced housing, to profit a sports activities staff.
