SKOKIE, Unwell. (WLS) — The village of Skokie will not evaluate Carvana’s requests to construct a automobile merchandising tower after the corporate had its seller license suspended.

The Illinois Secretary of State stated the corporate did not correctly switch titles on automobiles it offered. It is also accused of misusing out-of-state non permanent registration permits.

The suspension could also be lifted if Carvana resolves the problem.

Final week, the web automotive retailer stated it might lower 2,500 jobs, or about 12% of its workforce, because it tries to convey staffing and bills in step with gross sales.

A Carvana spokesperson issued a press release saying, “Carvana has compliantly operated as a licensed seller and good company citizen within the State of Illinois for a number of years, and we strongly disagree with the State’s characterization of each the details and the legislation resulting in this motion. We’re actively working with the State to resolve this challenge, and so they have agreed that we’ll proceed delivering already bought automobiles. We sit up for resolving this challenge with minimal disruption to clients.”
