Art Institute Chicago lions temporarily removed for cleaning

CHICAGO (WLS) — The town eliminated the lion statues from the Michigan Avenue entrance of the Artwork Institute of Chicago Tuesday morning for normal cleansing and upkeep.

A crane loaded the bronze statues onto a flatbed truck, en path to the town’s conservation associate, the place they are going to obtain a steam cleansing and a protecting wax coating.

Inbuilt 1893, the “nice protectors” require knowledgeable care with a view to protect their look.
