2 aircraft collide mid-air during WWII airshow in Dallas, FAA says

DALLAS, Texas — Two planes have collided in a mid-air crash at an airshow in Dallas, Texas, the Federal Aviation Administration stated Saturday.

Emergency crews had been responding to the scene on the Commemorative Air Pressure Wings Over Dallas present on the Dallas Government Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration says a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra collided and crashed round 1:20 p.m. Saturday. Officers stated it was unclear how many individuals had been on board each aircrafts.

A number of movies posted on Twitter confirmed two plane showing to collide within the air earlier than they each quickly descended, inflicting a big fireplace and plumes of black smoke to billow into the sky.

The FAA and the Nationwide Transportation Security Board had been launching investigations.
