City of Wichita Falls receives finance award

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – For our Good News tonight, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada has awarded the City of Wichita Falls the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

This is the 28th consecutive year Wichita Falls has been honored with this award.

The award was given for the City’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. Its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
