Metropolis finance committee recommends three enterprise improvement grants

Town’s finance committee voted to award three $10,000 enterprise improvement grants Monday.

In response to metropolis paperwork, “The Brunswick Enterprise Reduction Grant supplies funding to enterprise homeowners inside the metropolis who’ve confirmed to indicate financial hardship because of the influence of COVID-19.”

Town obtained purposes from Messy Buns Catering and Concessions, Cravers Wings and Grill, and Diamond Stitching and Alterations, all of whom claimed to have suffered some type of hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Messy Buns proprietor Monica Whitehead plans to make use of the funds to improve a hotdog meals truck, increase her catering operation and rent further workers. Cravers proprietor Paul Ransom needs to rent workers and increase the enterprise. Adell Campbell, proprietor of Diamond Stitching, indicated she would use the cash to increase her enterprise to incorporate academic courses for all ages.
