The Ghost Station (2022) – Review | Korean Horror Movie | Heaven of Horror
Watch The Ghost Station on Digital or DVD
The director of The Ghost Station (org. title: Ogsuyeog gwisin) is Jeong Yong-ki (The Doll Master) and comes from screenwriters Lee So-young (Robot Sound) and Takashi Hiroshi (The Ring, The Ring 2).
Especially the involvement of the latter is obvious via the inclusion of a “well” and how it’s shown. If you’ve watched any version of Ringu or The Ring, this well will immediately feel familiar. The story is different, but there’s a touch of familiarity to it still.

The Ghost Station is an adaption of the Korean webtoon “Oksu Station Ghost” by author Horang. It could quite easily have been two hours in runtime as some of it feels forced. However, it does work as a tight and fast-paced ghost horror movie.
The movie enjoyed its world premiere at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in July 2022. It has since been released in many Asian countries and played at various film festivals all over the world. Now Well Go USA Entertainment is releasing the movie in the US.
The Ghost Station will be on Digital, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 19, 2023.
