Love, Sitara Review: Broken Family, Broken Direction
Love, Sitara is a Zee5 original, streaming now. Here’s a quick review of this OTT film.
Love, Sitara features Sobhita Dhulipala as the lead, paired with Rajeev Siddhartha in a family drama with an inconsistent narrative, even for a leisure watch.
More than anything, it feels like this is totally an unwanted release for Sobhita at this time, as a few dialogues feel bold and totally unnecessary for a film with a plot based on family drama and emotions.
At least the scene between Sobhita and Rajeev, where he grabs her butt, should have been removed, even to maintain family viewing comfort.
The plot is also not engaging, with characters making unconvincing and random decisions, highlighting the poor writing.
The basic issue with Love, Sitara is that it lacks conviction in its writing; it feels random and is neither convincing nor engaging.
Except for Sobhita, the casting, including Rajeev Siddhartha, isn’t impressive. In Love, Sitara, as the plot deals with a dysfunctional family, the direction also feels broken by the time we reach the climax.
If you don’t have anything, give it a try, but keep your expectations at rock bottom. Love, Sitara is now streaming on Zee5.
