Jamie Foxx reveals rare details about health scare: He has a 3-week hole in his memory

More than a year after he was mysteriously hospitalized, Jamie Foxx is sharing details about the health scare. Not all the details. But some.

“Look, April 11 last year. Bad headache. I asked my boy for an Advil,” Foxx told a group at a Phoenix cafe, as seen in a video posted to TikTok by a spectator.

Foxx then dramatically snapped his fingers.

“I was gone for 20 days,” he recalled. “I don’t remember anything.”

He said his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Corinne Foxx took him to a doctor, where he was given a cortisone shot. A cortisone shot treats a specific spot in the body and can reduce inflammation, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

Pointing to his head, Foxx added that another doctor said, “Something’s going on up there.”

As for specifics, Foxx demurred.

“I won’t say it on camera,” he said, getting laughs from the people around him.

While attending an awards luncheon in March, Foxx promised he was going to open up about the hospitalization — on his own time and on his own terms.

“Everybody wants to know what happened, and I’m going to tell you what happened. But I’ve gotta do it in my way,” Foxx said, according to Variety. “I’m gonna do it in a funny way. We’re gonna be on the stage. We’re gonna get back to the stand-up sort of roots.”

“It’ll be called, ‘What Had Happened Was,’ and it’s got all the things that happened, especially on our side of our community,” he said. The comedian said he would address all the speculation that arose from his absence, including rumors of clone sightings and that he “dove out of a car to save this Black woman’s purse.”

Foxx has resumed his gigs amid his recovery. He returned as host of “Beat Shazam,” a musical game show, after Nick Cannon temporarily replaced him for Season 6.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs hit with fresh lawsuit alleging sexual assault, sex trafficking

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal woes are far from over.

The embattled rap mogul and alcohol entrepreneur faces fresh accusations of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a new lawsuit filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The complaint marks the ninth sexual assault lawsuit filed against the rapper since last November, when his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a lawsuit in which she described being abused by Combs.

Adria English, an adult-film actor who says she worked for Combs from 2004 to 2009, accuses the rapper of conducting and participating in a RICO enterprise, sexual assault, sexual harassment and sex trafficking, according to legal documents reviewed by The Times. The 114-page complaint raises more than 30 allegations against Combs, several of his business ventures, celebrity jeweler Jacob “Jacob the Jeweler” Arabo, a woman who allegedly facilitated the rapper’s sex trafficking and two media companies, in addition to unnamed individuals.

“No matter how many lawsuits are filed it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone,” Jonathan Davis, an attorney for Combs, told The Times in a statement. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason and without any proof. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail against these and other baseless claims in court.”

In the lawsuit, English details her account of working at Combs’ various high-profile “white parties” at his residences in New York and Florida, where she alleges she was “demanded” to engage in sexual intercourse with guests, including Arabo. English accuses Combs of forcing her to have sexual intercourse with Arabo in 2007, noting in the lawsuit that refusing the hip-hop star’s “demands was not an option.”

A representative for Arabo did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.

English accuses Combs of threatening to “blackball [her] from the entertainment industry” and her then-boyfriend from the modeling industry if she did not engage in sex work at the parties. In 2009, English left New York and returned to California, where she currently resides. The lawsuit says that was English’s “only way to escape” Combs.

English filed her complaint months after U.S. Department of Homeland Security agents conducted searches of Combs’ Holmby Hills and Miami mansions in March as part of a federal inquiry into sex trafficking allegations involving Combs. It’s unclear whether English’s allegations are related to that inquiry. TMZ reported Wednesday that Combs is seeking to sell that Holmby Hills mansion for $70 million.

In addition to Combs and the companies and individuals who allegedly participated and facilitated his white parties, English is suing music magazine Vibe and its owner, Penske Media Corp. She alleges the media companies provided Combs the resources to throw his parties, inflicted emotional distress connected to the alleged sex trafficking and publicized her likeness in a November 2006 magazine issue about the parties.

English is asking for damages including Vibe and PMC‘s profits from the November 2006 magazine, legal fees, losses and “further legal and equitable relief as deemed proper.” She wants a trial by jury.

Movie Review – Despicable Me 4

Movie Review – Despicable Me 4

This is not a Pixar movie that appeals to adults just as much as kids. (BTW, this is a Universal/Illumination production.) It’s pretty much a young kids’ movie, beginning to end. This is one of those movies that mom and dad do rock, paper, scissors to decide who has to sit through the movie with their kid(s).

There were a lot of children in the theater when I saw the movie and they all seemed engaged in the antics. I heard giggles and other reactions throughout. I even heard a young girl say, “This movie was awesome,” to her parent as they walked out of the theater.

The one cool thing I got out of the movie was that Stephen Colbert was the voice of their new neighbor. But at the same time, Will Ferrell was totally wasted as the voice for Maxime. I had no idea that was him. They could have gotten anyone to do that character with a horrible French accent.

About The Peetimes: I have two good Peetimes. There are a few antics in each, but nothing major. I would recommend the 2nd Peetime. It’s one long scene that is easy to summarize.

There are extra scenes during, or after, the end credits of Despicable Me 4.

Pink cancels concert in Switzerland after consulting with doctor: 'So disappointed'

Pink canceled a Wednesday concert in Switzerland over an unspecified health problem, she announced Tuesday.

“I am so sorry that I have had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” she wrote on social media. “I do everything I can to ensure I can perform for you every night, but after consultation with my doctor and exploring all options available, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to continue with the show.”

Pink, who noted she had been looking forward to “making memories” with fans, said she was “so disappointed” at the cancellation. Ticket holders will get refunds.

It remains unclear if there will be any changes to the upcoming Saturday concert in Copenhagen, but the singer said she was hoping to see fans again soon.

Pink’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.

In June, right as her tour kicked off in Wales, Pink revealed that she was powering through symptoms of a stomach bug.

“A little food poisoning can’t stop us,” she wrote in the caption.

Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour, supporting her new album, “Trustfall,” is scheduled to continue throughout the fall. She’s slated to return to North America in August after stops in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Sweden.

Last October, Pink told The Times’ Mikael Wood in between concerts that performing live was “the arena I belong in.”

“We rehearse to a certain extent for safety,” she said. “But you never know what’s gonna happen. And I’m never in my head. The second I step onstage, I’m in my heart, I’m in my body. There’s no other place that I operate — as a Virgo, as a mother, as the most responsible person I know — like the stage. It’s where I live.”
