Nation music legend Naomi Judd — one half of the duo The Judds — has died, her daughter Ashley Judd introduced Saturday. She was 76.
The Judds are greatest recognized for hits like “Mama He is Loopy” and “Love Can Construct a Bridge.” The duo picked up a complete of 5 Grammys, 9 CMA awards and 7 ACM awards.
The Nation Music Corridor of Fame described The Judds’ music as having “distinctive harmonies,” with “highly effective” lead vocals and acoustic accompaniments with parts of “conventional people, blues and household concord.”
The Judds’ ultimate efficiency was on the 2022 CMT Music Awards and Judd’s loss of life got here a day earlier than she was to be inducted into the Nation Music Corridor of Fame.
