Dolly Parton and bestselling creator James Patterson have written a novel collectively, a thriller titled “Run, Rose, Run.”
The e-book, out Monday, is a take a look at the challenges of making an attempt to make it within the music trade.
Parton stated it attracts from her personal life experiences.
“It exhibits lots of the darkish aspect of that – folks which have been in it, like me, you realize that, since you’ve lived it,” Parton instructed “CBS Sunday Morning,” which revealed an excerpt of the e-book.
The novel focuses on Rose, a younger nation singer and songwriter from Nashville who’s holding a secret that might damage her profession. The character experiences difficulties as her star rises.
“Individuals that may rip you off, they attempt to steal your songs, they’ll con you, they’ll do no matter. I’ve seen all of it,” Parton stated.
Patterson pitched the concept of working with Parton again in 2019, the singer stated, including she hopes they’ll finally make a film model of the story.
Parton is releasing a brand new album of unique songs impressed by the e-book. She hosts the 57th Annual Academy of Nation Music Awards on March 7.
