Academy ‘outraged’ by Will Smith’s behavior, says decision could take weeks

The letter from Academy President David Rubin and CEO Daybreak Hudson says the group is engaged on a “willpower” on “applicable motion” for Smith, which might “take a number of weeks.”

Smith has come beneath hearth for storming on stage throughout Sunday evening’s Academy Awards and slapping presenter Chris Rock after he made a joke about Smith’s spouse, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The letter says the method can be performed in a fashion that’s each expedient and respectful of all concerned whereas sustaining the requirements of the Academy.

As beforehand reported by CNN, the Academy’s Board of Governors is holding their annual post-Oscars assembly Wednesday, with Smith’s slap being their “most important precedence,” in line with a supply near the method.

That assembly is predicted to happen in the course of the night hours.
