ESPN picks the winner between Kentucky and Georgia State

The Kentucky Wildcats are getting ready to take on Georgia State in Rupp Arena as Mark Pope’s squad will look to move to 7-0 on the season. In the Wildcat’s first game of the week, they took down WKU, but for the first team, all season looked vulnerable.

The Wildcats were able to win this game 87-68, but there were some things Coach Pope’s team could have done better. Defensively the Wildcats were solid in the win, but the threes weren’t falling in this ball game.

A game like this was good for Kentucky because they have looked unstoppable against every team this season aside from Duke, so a little bit of struggle is a good thing. The threes won’t always fall, so the Wildcats need to learn to win a game when this is happening.

Now the Wildcats will take on Georgia State who is 4-3 on the season. The Panthers played Mississippi State earlier in the season, and the Bulldogs blew them out 101-61 in Starkville.

ESPN doesn’t seem to think the Wildcats will struggle in this ball game as they give Kentucky a 98.2% chance to win.

The goal in this game for the Wildcats should be to keep working on the rebounding and taking care of the ball but also the shots need to fall.

The matchup between the Kentucky Wildcats and Georgia State will be on Friday the 29th at 7:00 pm et. Kentucky fans can watch this game on the SEC Network. Coach Pope and his team shouldn’t have any issue blowing out the Panthers on Friday.

A 13-year-old Kentucky girl who had been missing since October was found in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Saturday.

Montgomery County police said in a release Saturday afternoon that Wynter Wagoner, 13, was located in a Silver Spring home in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive.

The Rockcastle Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post that Wagoner was last seen in Orlando, Kentucky, on Oct. 14.

Her father, Dusty Wagoner, had pleaded for her to reach out in the weeks leading up to her discovery. The family offered a $5,000 reward for any information that would lead to her safe return.

At an Oct. 22 news conference, officials said Wagoner was picked up early from school by her foster parents and when her parents went to check on her, they discovered she was gone.

Police and U.S. Marshals arrested 37-year-old Christian Alexander Delgado in connection with the case. The Rockcastle Sheriff’s Office is charging Delgado with kidnapping.

He’s awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

A 13-year-old girl who went missing in Kentucky in October was found alive in Montgomery County, Maryland, on Friday, the Montgomery County Police Department said.

That teenage girl, Wynter Wagoner, was last seen on Oct. 14, in Orlando, Kentucky. Rockcastle County Sheriff Shannon Franklin confirmed that Wagoner was kidnapped.

On Friday, Dec. 26, Montgomery County police received a tip that Wagoner might be in a home in Silver Spring, Maryland. No information about the investigation or where the tip came from has been shared.

Officers were sent to a house in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive just before 6 p.m. on Friday. Those officers and the U.S. Marshals working with them found Wagoner inside, along with 37-year-old Christian Alexander Delgado.

Wagoner was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Montgomery County police said. Authorities say she was found safe, but her exact condition is unclear.

Delgado was arrested by Montgomery County officers. Rockcastle County police have a warrant for Delgado’s arrest, charging him with kidnapping.

Delgado is being held in Montgomery County jail while he awaits extradition back to Kentucky.

Wagoner’s father shared a statement with WLEX, the NBC affiliate station in Lexington, Kentucky.

“Wynter has been found. She is safe and that’s about all the information we can give at this time,” Wagoner said to WLEX. “It’s very, very new — it just happened so the details are not clear at the moment. I don’t want to give any misinformation (and) I hope you understand… I do also want to say thank you for all the efforts in trying to find my daughter and all the prayers for her safety. We do truly appreciate it and are so thankful she’s OK.”
