Arrest made after 33-year-old pulls out gun during road rage incident
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A 33-year-old man has been arrested after pulling out a gun during a road rage incident in West Hartford.
The incident occurred yesterday at 7:22 a.m. on I-84 Westbound in the area of exit 43.
State police say the victim reported driving in the left lane of three on I-84 when another driver in a Nissan Altima started weaving in and out of the travel lanes, eventually merging in front of them.
The victim honked their horn and the Nissan slammed on their brakes in response, according to police.
The victim then made a “hand gesture” towards the driver in the Nissan Altima, which is when the driver pointed a gun towards them through the driver’s side window.
The victim told police that they slowed down to avoid escalation, but the driver motioned with his hand to suggest that they position their vehicle alongside his.
The victim slowed down more and called 911.
When meeting with the police, the victim gave them the suspect vehicle description, license plate, and a description of the driver.
With this information, the suspect was identified as 33-year-old Kewon Rondell Bank of Manchester.
Police contacted Banks who agreed to meet with troopers.
Troopers say Banks admitted to pulling out a gun during the incident but said he only did so because he thought the victim was reaching for something.
Banks was arrested and charged with threatening and breach of peace.
He was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next month.

European-Inspired Connecticut Estate With an Olympic-Size Indoor Pool Returns to the Market for $75 Million
A generational Connecticut estate with an indoor pool and five guest houses has returned to the market for $75 million.
Called Hillendale Estate, the 268-acre property in Stamford has had some major price swings over the years. It was listed in 2007 for $95 million, then reduced to $75 million in 2015 after the death of its owner—Liberty Travel founder Gilbert Haroche. In 2020, his widow, Charlene Haroche, relisted it for $49.5 million, according to The Wall Street Journal, before removing it from the market just under three months later.

And now it’s back, with Leslie McElwreath and Joe Barbieri of Sotheby’s International Realty, who listed the property on Tuesday.
The property’s main residence is a stone manor built in 1900 for the Sulzberger family, best known as the publisher of The New York Times. It features pitched roofs, ivy-covered walls and carved cast-iron doors leading to a gilded interior decorated with marble, millwork onyx and stained glass.
“It was reimagined as this European-inspired manor,” McElwreath said. “It was meticulously restored.”
The main residence spans 15,000 square feet and features two wings with eight bedrooms, formal entertainment spaces, 11 fireplaces, a conservatory and its standout feature: an entire wing dedicated to an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool—occupying an elaborately decorated room with painted ceilings, an arcade of arched French doors filling the room with light and mosaic wall murals.
In addition to the main residence, there are four guest houses plus a detached garage with a loft apartment, two barns, a pool house and an outdoor pool, listing photos show. The grounds are also special, McElwreath said.
“There’s a tennis court, a private lake with a small beach, miles of trails and a beautiful hedge maze,” she said.
The property straddles the New York-Connecticut border, reaching into Pound Ridge on the New York side—just 50 miles from Manhattan in Westchester County.

The Haroches own other properties in New York and Florida, including an apartment at the Pierre hotel in Manhattan that was listed for $65 million in 2019. The Haroche family could not immediately be reached for comment.

Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut could have patchy slippery road conditions in the coming days
Travel could be slippery in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
According to the National Weather Service, a weak storm system passing to our north on Tuesday will bring with it a risk for patchy light freezing drizzle or flurries during the Tuesday pre-dawn hours into the rest of Tuesday morning.
The anticipated spotty coverage of freezing drizzle should minimize impacts, although unpaved roads, sidewalks and elevated bridges could still become slippery.
Snow accumulations, if any, should minimal.
Use caution if traveling Tuesday morning.
Accumulating snow is expected across portions of southern New England Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening, however, there is still some uncertainty and accumulations, if, any, should be minimal.
