UPDATE: Henry County sheriff says kidnapped child located safe in Sedalia
UPDATE: The Henry County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office reports that the child has been located safe in Sedalia by his grandmother.
CALHOUN, Mo. — The Henry County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate a 4-year-old child following a kidnapping Wednesday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office reports 4-year-old Cason Anthony Dwane Martin was taken from his custodial grandmother’s home in Calhoun around 2 p.m.
The suspect has been identified as Devon Dwane Martin, the child’s biological father, who does not have any parental rights to the child, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office said Devon Martin may be armed and is known to assault law enforcement.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
No AMBER Alert has been issued at this time, which comes through the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
