Idaho man indicted for distribution of fentanyl resulting in death – Local News 8
BOISE, Idaho (KIFI) — A federal grand jury in Boise returned an indictment on Jan. 11, charging an Idaho man with distribution of fentanyl leading to critical bodily harm or loss of life.
The indictment alleges on Might 17, 2022, 36-year-old Tanner Lee Goforth knowingly and deliberately distributed a substance containing fentanyl and that substance resulted within the loss of life of the sufferer.
Cops with the Nampa Police Division arrested Goforth on Jan.12, 2023. Goforth is scheduled to be arraigned on the cost on Jan. 17, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., earlier than U.S. Justice of the Peace Choose Debora Ok. Grasham, on the U.S. Courthouse in Boise.
If convicted, Goforth faces a sentence of at the least 20 years and as much as life imprisonment. Underneath the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984, Congress has eradicated parole for defendants convicted of federal crimes dedicated after November 1, 1987.
U.S. Lawyer Josh Hurwit, of the District of Idaho made the announcement and recommended the investigation carried out by the Nampa Police Division and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
