Virginia-Based Indian Dies in a Fiery Crash in U.S.
A truck accident in which flames were involved claimed the life of Mandeep Singh, a 24-year-old hard-working man. He leaves behind his father, mother, and sister in India. The semi-driver suffered critical injuries in a fiery crash on the Florida Turnpike, US, on June 20.
The tragic incident occurred at around 2.10 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 246 in Kissimmee. As per reports, Manjeet was operating a semi-truck in the inside lane when he turned left into the outside lane, colliding with the rear of another semi-truck driven by a 44-year-old Miami man.
Due to this, Virginia’s Mandeep lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and subsequently caught fire. The driver, however, managed to get out of the truck and was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries. The other driver remained unharmed.
The Florida Highway Patrol has assigned a traffic homicide investigator for further investigation. Meanwhile, Mandeep’s uncle has started a fundraising page to collect funds to help his parents back home meet the funeral expenses and other expenses.
He requested that everyone come forward to donate even a small amount to bail out the family. Mandeep was remembered as a hard-working, warm-hearted person.
