Absentee voting begins in Maryland, Mississippi

Maryland and Mississippi join the large and growing list of states to begin early and absentee voting Monday.

Key downballot races in today’s early voting states

Voting is underway in nearly 20 states, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Virginia.

States starting their early voting today are not competitive at the presidential level, but the Senate race in Maryland will be one of the most closely watched races on election night.

The last time the state voted for a Republican senator was 1980, but former Gov. Larry Hogan tied Democratic challenger Angela Alsobrooks in a recent poll, and has put forth a set of moderate policy proposals without raising the ire of former President Donald Trump.

Hogan, though a Republican, has been a vocal critic of Trump.

Alsobrooks is leaning on her experience as a county executive and prosecutor, and the state’s heavily blue tilt gives her an edge. This race is ranked Leans D on the Fox News Power Rankings.

Radioactive material, crash prompts shutdown of I-35 north of Dallas-Fort Worth

A “hazmat problem” led to closures on Interstate 35 north of Dallas-Fort Worth, near Valley View, officials with the Texas Department of Transportation said Friday morning.

As of about 9 a.m., only one lane was open in either direction.

A three-vehicle crash involving a rock hauler and passenger vehicle carrying radioactive medical dye prompted the call for a hazardous materials team to inspect the area, according to emergency management officials in Cooke County.

The outer container of one of the medical packages was opened though the interior packaging was intact, officials said.

“Out of an abundance of caution, hazmat was called to assess the item,” according to a social media post from the county officials. “The item was assessed and removed to a safe location.”

The crash happened about 4 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35, near the Hockley Creek overpass, and involved three semi-truck trailers and a passenger vehicle. One of the trucks caught fire, and the driver died, officials said.

Diesel fuel and vehicle oil were still awaiting cleanup late Friday morning. The interstate in that area was still congested.

Those planning to travel the highway in the area north of Denton, about 20 miles south of the Oklahoma border in Cooke County, should make a backup plan as the crews work to clear the road, TxDOT officials said.

Wild photos show Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs eating food of a naked woman at one of his celeb-packed parties

Wild, newly resurfaced photos show accused sex trafficker Sean “Diddy” Combs eating food off a naked woman from one of his notorious celeb-packed parties.

The disgraced Bad Boy Records founder, then 34, was seen eating a chocolate-covered strawberry from the body of a nude woman, who was lying on a table with food stacked on and around her, the snaps first obtained by TMZ show.

Aside from the food, only a strategically placed green leaf covered the naked woman’s most intimate area.

The photos were taken at a 2004 Miami party with a star-studded crowd including Diana Ross, Owen Wilson, Bruce Willis, and Will Smith, all of whom appeared unfazed by the racy food display.

The splashy party is a far cry from Combs’ current accommodation — at the notoriously tough Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, where he has been held without bail since his Sept. 16 arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.

A damning federal indictment alleged that the rapper abused, threatened, and coerced women to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”

The allegations against Combs — who was caught on video brutally beating ex-girlfriend CassieVentura — go back to at least 2008, the documents said.

When federal agents raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles earlier this year, they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lube that were allegedly used during “freak off” sex sessions.

Combs’ lawyer, however, said his client simply preferred to buy in bulk from the chain store Costco.

The rap mogul has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is eager to testify at trial, his legal team said.
