After a long time of service, Tennessee Nationwide Guardsman Col. Danny Pugh, a Franklin resident, retired throughout a ceremony Sunday on the Joint Pressure Headquarters in Nashville.
Pugh served over 33 years within the navy, 20 within the Tennessee Nationwide Guard. He most just lately served because the Tennessee Guard’s director of communications.
“It has been the glory of my life to put on the uniform for thus a few years,” Pugh stated. “I’ve met so many nice individuals, and I’ve had so many wonderful experiences. Pugh’s navy profession started in December 1989 when he enlisted as an infantryman within the Alabama Nationwide Guard. He attended Officer Candidate College on the Alabama Army Academy, and in June 1992, he commissioned as an infantry officer.
In 2001, Pugh deployed as an infantry firm commander in assist of Operation Noble Eagle. He then transferred to the Tennessee Nationwide Guard in 2003 and deployed in assist of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008 with the 1/230th Air Cavalry Squadron.
Whereas serving within the Tennessee Nationwide Guard, Pugh served in a number of command positions and employees assignments, together with state officer candidate college commander, state mobilization officer and deputy chief of employees for home operations.
