South Carolina blasts Campbell in Columbia Regional final, advances to Super Regionals
South Carolina baseball is a sight to behold right now.
The Gamecocks blasted Campbell in a complete effort, 16-7, to advance to the Super Regional round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. South Carolina swept the Columbia regional in the process. This will be South Carolina’s first Super Regional appearance since 2018 and its 14th in program history.
It was an offensive battle, seeing South Carolina total 17 hits while the Camels added 12 of their own. It started out as a duel, with USC and Campbell trading runs early.
Talmadge LeCroy smacked a 2-run double into right center to start South Carolina’s dominant run.
