Former South Carolina DL Taylor Stallworth signs with new NFL team
Former South Carolina DL Taylor Stallworth is on the move again. After spending time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans in 2022, Stallworth will gear up for the 2023 season with a new club.
Stallworth’s agent took to Twitter to announce that the former Gamecock has signed a deal with the Carolina Panthers.
My client Taylor Stallworth has agreed on a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. 6th year D-Tackle played for the Chiefs and Texans last season and was in Indianapolis (with Frank Reich) prior to that.

The New Orleans Saints signed Stallworth as a free agent in May 2018. Stallworth made the Saints’ 53-man roster out of training camp and made his professional debut that September.
After 2 seasons in New Orleans, Stallworth signed with the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2020 season. Current Panthers head coach Frank Reich held the same position with the Colts from 2018-to-2022. Stallworth’s most productive season of his career came with the Colts in 2021 when he recorded 16 total tackles, including 10 solo stops.
Stallworth has played in 57 games over 5 seasons, making 2 starts. He has recorded 52 tackles, including 4.5 sacks.
