What would YOU consider a successful Miami Dolphins 2023 campaign W/Poll

Here we sit on the edge of the NFL’s dead period, which will follow the mandatory workouts that are taking place with the team right now. Following the current mini-camp things sort of die down news-wise around the NFL until training camps begin somewhere at the end of July. There are still free agents floating around and many will find a home somewhere between now and then, perhaps even with our Miami Dolphins as there are still holes on the roster and depth that need to be addressed. While our team could still add a player here or there that might excite the fan base we won’t have much to do Dolphins football-wise but sit and wait for stories to come out of camp in late July/August.

The Dolphins roster, as it currently sits is more or less what the Phins will head into the season with. Yes, some guys could be signed between now and then which could cause a veteran to be released or traded away. There will also be at least one shocking cut after training camp of a veteran player that none of us will see coming, at least that’s been the norm in most years past. Either way, we can all most likely agree with what the final roster will look like give or take a few guys with the most disagreements centered around what the final depth chart will look like.

So tonight’s question is given what you know about the current state of the roster and the direction the team is headed what would you consider a successful season for your Miami Dolphins? Is it something tied to the number of wins? Is it just making the playoffs no matter the record? Is it winning the AFC East outright? Is it FINALLY winning a playoff game again? Is it winning two playoff games and making it to the AFC Championship game? Is it winning the Championship game thus making it to the Super Bowl? Is it winning it all for the first time in decades?

Please give us your answers and thoughts on the subject in the comments section below-

REPORT: Two Sun Belt Programs Interested in Miami QB

REPORT: Two Sun Belt Programs Interested in Miami QB

One of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal is University of Miami redshirt sophomore Jacurri Brown. Per Steve Wiltfong of On3 Sports, amongst the five teams that have shown interest in the transfer quarterback, Georgia State and Appalachian State have looked into the services of the young quarterback.

TRANSFER PORTAL: Former ACC Linebacker On The Move Again

Brown only saw action in one game for the Miami Hurricanes in 2023, which was their bowl game loss against Rutgers where he threw for 181 yards and one touchdown. He completed 20 of his 31 passes in that game. A bigger sample size to look at would be in 2022, where he played in eight games, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns, but three interceptions.

The interest coming from Appalachian State is certainly an interesting one given the play last season from Cure Bowl MVP Joey Aguilar and then the deep quarterback room that they have.

One big factor in this surprising pursuit from App State is former Miami quarterbacks coach Frank Ponce who is currently with the Mountaineers as their offensive coordinator. Brown and Ponce crossed paths in Miami for that lone year he was there, but that one year is important to consider with App State’s interest in Jacurri Brown.

Georgia State’s interest certainly makes a lot more sense given the thin quarterback room that they have. At the moment, redshirt senior and Georgia Tech transfer Zach Gibson is in line to be the starting quarterback, but having someone like Jacurri Brown with multiple years of eligibility remaining on the team is certainly a good building block for future recruitments and transfer portal acquisitions.

The spring transfer portal window closes on April 30.

Miami Heat fear Jimmy Butler may have suffered a serious injury; will he be available vs the Bulls?

The bad news keeps coming for the Miami Heat. After losing their Play-In game against the Philadelphia 76ers by 105-104, they may be without their star for the remainder of the postseason, making things quite difficult for the team’s upcoming game.

As per a report by Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Miami Heat are grappling with the uncertainty of Jimmy Butler’s injury. There are fears that he may have suffered a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury to one of his knees in a play at the end of the first quarter of the game against the 76ers, following a collision with Kelly Oubre Jr.

Butler stayed in the game and played 40 minutes, scoring 19 points but at the same time limping and appearing quite uncomfortable, only making 5 out of 18 field goal attempts throughout the night.

Butler himself said that he would get an MRI on his knee on Thursday and that he felt that ‘he hurt the Heat more than helped them’ throughout the game. He also had four rebounds and five assists.

Butler absence could define the Heat’s postseason hopes

Concerns loom over Butler’s ability to continue playing for the remainder of the season, so the Miami Heat are gearing up for a crucial game. After their Play-In game loss against Philadelphia, they are set to face the Chicago Bulls, who emerged victorious against the Atlanta Hawks in their Play-In matchup. Now, they will face the Heat to see who advances to the NBA Playoffs.

The winner of the series between the Heat and the Bulls will advance as the eighth seed to the first round of the NBA Playoffs and will face the Boston Celtics.
