Multi-million-dollar Unified Legacy facility aims to bring 500 new jobs to Middle Georgia
MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — Construction for a multi-million-dollar manufacturing facility expected to bring hundreds of jobs to Middle Georgia has offically begun.

Unified Legacy Group, a Georgia-based company that specializes in machining, fabrication and large-scale manufacturing, held a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday to mark the construction of its future facility on Barnes Ferry Road in Macon, right next to Prince Service and Manufacturing, also owned by Unified Legacy.
Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp, as well as U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler, joined Macon-Bibb County leaders like Mayor Lester Miller and the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jessica Walden to celebrate the economic impact of the new facility, expected to bring 500 jobs to Middle Georgia.

“Well, every job we are creating every single day for that gives a hard-working Georgian economic opportunity no matter their zip code is a great day,” said Kemp. “It just really echoes how diverse our economy is. It’s so important for our economy to be diverse because it helps us weather any economic storms we may have now or in the future.”
Unified Legacey CEO Eric Williams said the facilty there are building will increase capacity in its defense and manufacturing sectors. He added that he chose to build the facilty in Macon because Georgia makes it easy to do business.

“Macon’s great to do business in, and the local delegation makes it really easy to stay here. But Georgia makes it really easy to do business in this state,” Williams said. “They’ve got workforce development figured out, they’ve got housing figured out and a number of things that make my life as a CEO and our organization’s life easier, because we’re not reinventing the wheel in this state. “
U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler said tax cuts in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” were designed to support businesses like these.
“United Legacy is a great example of how America is a nation of builders again,” said Loeffler. “With the working family tax cuts empower an entrepreneur someone that puts it all on the line, every single day to invest and build a facilty like this. To hire hundreds of hard-working men and women right here in Middle Georgia. Without that bill, this would have been very difficult.”
