State Police: Man charged after driving drunk through fatal crash investigation scene in Delaware
BEAR, Del. – A Delaware man has been arrested and is going through expenses for driving impaired by the scene of a lethal accident, police say.
In line with Delaware State Police, 29-year-old Javier Rodriguez of Newark, Delaware, faces a number of expenses, together with reckless endangerment, disregarding a police officer sign, site visitors offenses and driving a automobile inebriated.
Authorities say on December 25 at 11:34 p.m., troopers had been on the scene of a lethal automobile crash on the Pulaski Freeway and Backs Wooden Drive in Bear.
Troopers say Delaware Division of Transportation crew members and detectives from state police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit had been on scene investigating.
Throughout the investigation, Rodriguez was in a 2016 Dodge Journey touring westbound on Pulaski Freeway when he disregarded lane closures and emergency autos to proceed by the investigation scene, police say.

In line with officers, Rodriguez nearly struck a Division of Transportation employee and a detective when he drove by the scene of the lethal crash.
After a brief pursuit, the automobile got here to a cease within the car parking zone of the Rivera Taco Specific restaurant and Rodriguez was taken into custody by toppers, per authorities.
Troopers say the arresting trooper seen indicators of impairment and a DUI investigation started.
