LTE: Martin Cohn thanks Vermont congressional delegation – The Vermont Journal & The Shopper
Expensive Editor,
I want to thank Senator Leahy, Senator Sanders, and Consultant Welch for making Vermont the one state during which its whole congressional delegation has co-sponsored the Defending Neighborhood Tv Act launched by each Senator Ed Markey (MA) and Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo (CA-18) as S 3361 and HR 6219.
The FCC is making an attempt to redefine franchise charge rules which have been in place since 1984. With out this laws, the FCC will radically scale back the extent of financial help accessible to run Public, Academic, and Governmental (PEG) entry channels throughout the US.
Neighborhood entry tv stations, like Springfield Public Entry TV (SAPA TV), connects us to our communities, catalyzes civic engagement, and retains us updated on the native points and actions that have an effect on our lives.
Please be part of with me in commending the Vermont congressional delegation’s acknowledgement of the very important want for preserving native info and communication wants.
Sincerely,
Martin Cohn
