Paterson, NJ marks double-digit decline in shootings and homicides
PATERSON, New Jersey (WABC) — Officers in Paterson, New Jersey are celebrating a major drop in gun violence over the previous 12 months.
Mayor Andre Sayegh joined Director Jerry Speziale and Performing Police Chief Engelbert Ribeiro Wednesday to announce a double-digit lower in shootings and homicides.
It is the primary time since 2016 the town has since such a major decline.
The leaders additionally touted latest efforts to get weapons off the streets.
