Ice, snow possible for parts of Massachusetts during Thursday commute

A winter weather advisory was issued for towns in the Berkshires until Thursday at 10 a.m.
“Plan on slippery road conditions, especially on untreated and elevated surfaces,” the National Weather Service warned. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Some power outages are possible.”

“Ice covered roads often just look wet, so exercise caution while traveling,” the weather service said.
The mixed precipitation is expected to change to freezing rain early Thursday morning. By late morning, it’ll be normal rain.
Although Greenfield is not part of the winter weather advisory, the weather service said they could still get ice and freezing rain.
