Wisconsin police arrest alleged thief of funeral home van carrying man’s body

Authorities in Wisconsin have arrested a person in reference to the January theft of a funeral house van containing a physique, saying he faces fees of abuse of a corpse and illegal possession of a stolen automobile.

VAN STOLEN FROM ILLINOIS FUNERAL HOME, BODY REPORTED MISSING

A person accused of stealing a physique from an Illinois funeral house has been arrested in Inexperienced Bay, Wisconsin.

The van belonging to Collins & Stone Funeral House in Rockford, Illinois, was stolen from that location on Jan. 21, and located behind a vacant Chicago house on Jan. 23 with the physique inside, officers have mentioned.

The 23-year-old man was arrested Sunday in Inexperienced Bay. He had been charged in late January however had been at giant. WLS-TV quotes Rockford police as saying police in Wisconsin took the person into custody after a site visitors cease.

The physique of a 47-year-old man that had been within the van was recovered Jan. 23 behind a vacant house on Chicago’s South Aspect, Rockford police have mentioned. The physique was returned to Rockford by a coroner’s workplace.
