County executive orders flags at half-staff for snowplow driver who died in crash

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee County Government David Crowley has ordered all flags on the County Courthouse to fly at half-staff in honor of a Milwaukee County snowplow operator who died in a crash.

The flags have been ordered at half-staff for Friday by means of Sunday in honor and remembrance of John Manka who died whereas on responsibility on Jan. 20.

The 71-year-old died after the plow he was driving was concerned in a severe crash on I-894 southbound close to Beloit Street.

Metropolis officers say Manka was an avid Harley rider and belonged to the Rock River Hog Chapter. He loved going to Inexperienced Bay Packers video games along with his household and buddies. He additionally cherished supporting all his kids and grandchildren at their sporting occasions.
