Overnight standoff in Kansas City after suspect tries to shoot man in home, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police say a Kansas Metropolis man shot at one other man inside a house, resulting in a multi-hour standoff early Thursday morning on town’s south aspect.

Officers responded simply after midnight to a house on Corrington Avenue, simply off of East 118th Place, in response to a capturing. A person referred to as police, saying he had been inside the house, when one other man pulled a gun, threatened him with it and shot at him. The caller was capable of escape the house, based on Kansas Metropolis police.

Police referred to as in negotiators and a tactical unit on the house and arrange a barricade, the start of what could be a four-hour lengthy standoff. Shortly after 4:30 a.m., the suspect emerged from the house and gave himself as much as police.

Nobody was damage, police stated, and there have been no stories of anybody else within the house.
