One dead in fiery crash early Tuesday in Miami County
SPRING HILL, Kan. (WIBW) – One particular person was killed early Tuesday when a pickup truck collided with a semitrailer in Miami County in japanese Kansas, authorities stated.
The crash was reported at 1:29 a.m. Tuesday on the intersection of US-169 freeway and 215th Road, on the southwest fringe of Spring Hill.
In response to the Kansas Freeway Patrol, a 2013 Chevrolet Ok-2500 pickup truck was eastbound on 216th Road when it didn’t cease on the cease signal.
The pickup truck was then struck by a 2023 Freightliner semitrailer that was touring south on US-169.
After the collision, the pickup truck went off the correct facet of the roadway and burst into flames, the patrol stated. The motive force of the pickup truck, recognized as Jeffery Boyd Owens, 46, of Spring Hill, was ejected from the automobile and was pronounced useless on the scene. The patrol stated Owens wasn’t carrying his seat belt.
