4-year-old child seriously injured following southern Indiana head-on crash

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) – A 4-year-old youngster was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday morning after an early morning crash in Washington County.

Indiana State Police was contacted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Division round 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday to answer a head-on crash in Pierce Township.

Early investigation revealed the motive force of a 1996 Mazda car was heading eastbound and approached a hillcrest on East Invoice Miller Street, simply east of Blue River Church Street.

Police mentioned on the similar time, the motive force of a westbound 2016 Kia Sportage was approaching the identical hillcrest.

As the 2 autos crested the hill, they crashed head-on and collided with the entrance driver’s facet of one another’s autos.

Whereas each drivers weren’t significantly injured, police mentioned the 4-year-old youngster using within the Mazda was rushed to Norton Kids’s Hospital in Louisville with critical accidents.

ISP mentioned the crash stays beneath investigation.
