4Warn Weather – Rise and shine! Hopefully, you feel a little more rested with the extra hour of sleep over the weekend.

Some patchy fog is possible in low-lying areas early this Monday morning, but nothing is widespread. Otherwise, temperatures start slightly above average on either side of 40 degrees.

A low pressure system will track across the area today, bringing scattered rain showers with an isolated thunderstorm possible midday into the early afternoon.

In addition, winds will ramp up with gusts ranging from 30-40 mph. Highs today will be close to 60 degrees thanks to the southerly flow of air — but that all changes the rest of the week in the wake of a passing cold front.

Temps drop, more rain

Locally, highs will be in the 50s Tuesday through Friday before dropping into the 40s this weekend.

After Monday, our next chance for rain arrives later on Wednesday.

Expect more sunshine to build in by the end of the week into Saturday.

Elsewhere …

Nationally, heavy rainfall continues in the Pacific Northwest. A low pressure system moving across the Northern Plains is likely to produce light to moderate snow and rain over the next few days.
