Seahawks Projected to Land Pitt TE
PITTSBURGH — The Seattle Seahawks will take their chances with a talented Pitt Panthers tight end, according to the latest mock draft.
Dalton Miller of Pro Football Network released his full, seven-round 2025 NFL mock draft, and has the Seahawks taking Pitt senior tight end Gavin Bartholomew with the No. 193 overall pick in the sixth round.
He came out of Blue Mountain High School in Schuylkill Haven, Pa. with little fan fare and Pitt as his only Power Five offer.
Bartholomew had a great freshman season in 2021, playing in all 14 games and starting eight as Pitt won the ACC Championship.
With Heisman finalist quarterback Kenny Pickett under center, Bartholomew made 27 catches for 317 yards and four touchdowns. He earned an All-ACC Honourable Mention, as well as second team Freshman All-American honors from The Athletic and Pro Football Network for his efforts.
The next two seasons should’ve shown improvement for Bartholomew, but his stats remained either similar or lesser than his freshman campaign.
Offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti Jr. didn’t put much emphasis into getting Bartholomew the ball as much, plus the struggles of quarterbacks like Kedon Slovis, Phil Jurkovec and Christian Veilleux, led to a stagnation in statistical production.
Bartholomew had 21 catches for 283 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2022 and then only 18 catches for 326 yards and a touchdown as a junior last season.
He finished his senior season in 2024 with a career-high 38 catches for 322 yards and tied his career-high with four touchdowns.
Bartholomew had a season-high five catches for 59 yards in the 55-24 victory over Kent State in the season opener.
He grabbed one touchdown each in the home losses to Virginia in Week 12 and Clemson in Week 13 and then two touchdown catches in the road loss to Boston College in Week 14, his first multi-touchdown game.
Bartholomew earned a spot in the Senior Bowl, where the Seahawks would get a good chance to look at him.
He was on the Senior Bowl Watch List heading into the season, as Jim Nagy, the Senior Bowl Executive Director, has praised him on numerous occassions. He also went to see him prior to the road match vs. Cincinnati in Week 2, which ended in the Pitt’s biggest comeback in 50 years.

Seattle Weather: Freezing Nights this Weekend
Seattle – Saturday night’s convergence zone brought a light dusting of snow to parts of the lowlands, but the mountains scored big with the much-needed snow. Amounts ranged between 7–15″ in our Cascades passes and ski resorts.
Last night’s convergence zone brought more than 10″ of snow to the Cascades.
Calm winds and wet ground will allow for some fog to develop overnight. With temperatures hovering around freezing, freezing fog and black ice may be possible. Sunday afternoon will be partly cloudy and dry.

Another cool afternoon with highs barely making it out of the upper 30s and low 40s. Layer up…especially in the morning when temperatures will be near freezing.

Seahawks elevate Cam Akers, Amari Kight from practice squad for Panthers game
If this sounds familiar, that is because both players were elevated to the active roster last week against the Los Angeles Rams as well. Akers is in line to play in his second game with Seattle after playing four snaps on special teams against his former team, the Rams. Akers’ elevation also gives the Seahawks a third running back behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.
With Charles Cross out this week due to injury, Josh Jones will start at left tackle. However, that leaves Seattle needing more offensive tackle depth as well. That is where Kight, the undrafted rookie out of Central Florida, comes in. This is Kight’s third elevation this season, which means the Seahawks would need to sign Kight to the active 53-man roster for him to play again.

Seattle weather: Pockets of lowland snow, wintry mix overnight
SEATTLE – Snow continues to fall overnight in the passes. The convergence zone will remain active with higher totals along Stevens and Snoqualmie Pass. Snow accumulations may range between 6-12″. Road conditions are changing quickly, so be sure to monitor pass conditions before heading out.
Moderate to heavy snow with totals 6-12″.
A push of colder air moves into western Washington Friday night. While some moisture is still left, there is a possibility of pockets of lowland snow and a wintry mix. As of Friday evening, we’ve gotten a few reports of 1-2 inches of snow accumulation from around Sultan eastward along the US 2 corridor, with higher amounts east of Gold Bar and closer to Index. The snow accumulations at the lower elevations in this stretch have been driven by the precipitation rates as the convergence zone moves through. Closer to the I-5 corridor, it was mostly just rain with some snow mixed in.
Rain and snow falling around the region with a chance of lowland snow in the foothills.
The Fraser outflow will ramp up tonight, pushing in cold air into western Whatcom County. A Cold Weather Advisory will go into effect from around 1 a.m. to noon on Saturday with wind chill readings between 12–20 degrees. Please be sure to protect your pets and people as this cold can be dangerous.
Cold air spills into Whatcom County tonight with wind chills in the teens.
Friday night will be one of the colder nights we have seen so far this winter. Temperatures will be near freezing. Be sure to watch for some icy spots by Saturday morning on bridges and overpasses.

A drier weekend is ahead with chilly nights and foggy mornings. It will be a quieter end of the year with a few showers returning by New Year’s Day.
